Being in fashion, a buyer specifically, we have the luxury of traveling 3-4 times a year to the major fashion hubs of the world. Its pretty cool. Although, when you’re there, its go go go, work work work, appointment after appointment, breakfast on the go, lunch on the go, everything on the go.
You do it because you love it and the madness of the schedule is oddly exciting.
You feel busy and rewarded and inspired, but mainly tired. All of this being said, we traveled to NYC just a few weeks ago to view the Pre Fall collections and decided that we wanted to work, but also play. SO, we stuffed my step dad and little sister in our suitcases, rented an apartment on Airbnb, and off we went to experience all that is magical in New York City in December. Window displays, lights, Saks Fifth A venue, ice skating in Rockefeller center, broadway shows, walks through Central Park, hot dogs on the street, drinks at rooftop bars, oh ya, and mastering the subway!- you name it we did it. There was of course some work work work, and go go go involved, but scheduled perfectly amidst the fun. So cheers to work and cheers to play, enjoy these little snap shots of the trip (and some great fashion).
xx, Tj
