People can often misuse a blazer.

Unless your wearing a pant suit, you don’t need to always just wear blazers for ‘business’ purposes. Another thing about blazers- take the time/save your pennies, to buy a nice one. I don’t mean the $3,000 Armani that is just hot off the runway, I mean the $200-800 dollar one. It will clean well, you can throw it in your purse after you leave a meeting or the office or your bed, and it will continue to serve you well throughout the years.

Also, blazers aren’t scary!

They make everyone look rather wonderful. The other day, (see below) I wore mine with a slightly distressed cropped jean, black tank, great belt, and a clog. (thank you Allora by Laura). I also wore this blazer with a short knit, nude and black zig zag striped Missoni dress and a little studded black sandal. I felt sexy and relaxed but dressed enough to sell that $3,000 dollar Armani off the runway. I think everyone should buy a blazer. It doesn’t have to be this black silk organza thing that I have on, but just a nice one. My only rule for blazers is that if you can’t wear it with jeans, then keep looking.
