NEW YORK FASHION WEEK
ALLORA BY LAURA
Okay, this trip was truly inspirational. I think that New York City no matter what is inspirational, but when you get to be witness to the fresh designs coming down the runway and then see them hanging in a beautiful showroom the next day.. in hopes of hanging in your boutique… THAT gets inspirational real quick. From the plane to the hotel and everywhere in between I kept my mind constantly sourcing, whether it be in magazines, other blogs, store fronts or my own personal purchases. I found that these days in fashion, anything goes. Although, the underlying theme throughout all of these publications, shows, window displays and editors letters was this..
“If it doesn’t look good on you, it’s not in style.”
Over and over again we are shown what is on trend, what is hot, and what people are obsessing over. When you are shopping and trying to constantly keep up with where the pant is going to hit on your torso this season, you start to lose what is true for your body, your lifestyle and all in all-YOU. This upcoming fall season and for Spring/Summer of 2015, I encourage everyone to find a fun, new silhouette, but to also stay true to what you know works for you! And if you don’t know what that looks like, pop on into the store and we be sure to develop it with you!

SALLY LAPOINTE SS15 RUNWAY SHOW
SO amazing! Check out our Facebook page to see live video!
LOVE, ALEX Showroom Appointment where we are planning a trunk show for you all! More later.
Below we took a front row seat at the YIGAL AZROUEL SS15 Runway Show.
Laura, myself and Jill Bredel from the Peter Cohen Showroom. The collection is beautiful and we are so thrilled for some new fabrics from him! Always decadent. We ate chocolate and drank too much coffee and gabbed while in a sea of 4 ply silk. Ah!
Fo.ri Showroom ran by the wonderful long time colleague, Jacopo. Once again, lots of coffee. But 3 collections and 6 hours later, we came to the simple and wonderful conclusion that you all will be looking SO good next spring/summer. You’re welcome.
The SACHIN + BABI line has taken off! Color is definitely a must for this up and coming season. Stay tuned!
